This unique, hands-on learning museum gives visitors the opportunity to learn about and experience life as it was on the East side of the Berlin wall. Through interactive exhibits, videos, music, reading, and even a replica of a typical home, you get a real taste of life on the Socialist side of the wall making this not only a truly educational experience but memorable and engaging for all ages and learning styles. They suggest you give yourself at least an hour to go through the museu, but if you want to really soak up all there is to see and do, it is easy to spend several hours here, so plan accordingly. The exhibits are all in English and German and paints a picture of what a day-in-the-life is like. We really enjoyed this museum.

In one exhibit they recreated an entire apartment in the period style. You can walk through and explore each nook and cranny.
